Frequently Asked Questions
What is Gestalt therapy?
Gestalt therapy is a form of psychotherapy that emphasizes personal responsibility and focuses on the present moment. It encourages individuals to gain awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, thereby fostering self-discovery and growth. By exploring experiences in the here-and-now, we can better understand how the past influences current life and relationships. This holistic approach promotes healing and personal growth through increased awareness, presence, and self-acceptance.
What age group do you work with?
Sam works with adults of all ages and abilities, supporting individuals at every stage of adult life. Whether you are seeking guidance, personal growth, or simply a safe space to explore your potential, you are warmly invited to join this journey together. Your unique experiences and perspectives are valued here.
Do you take insurance?
Still Ground Counseling, PLLC, is a private pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. This means clients are responsible for payment at the time of service. Choosing this approach allows us to protect your privacy, avoid limitations set by insurance companies, and tailor counseling to your individual needs rather than to a diagnosis or treatment plan required for coverage. If you wish to use your insurance benefits, we are happy to provide you with a statement (often called a “superbill”) that you may submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
